Each week, we’ll be taking a peek into some of our faves’ makeup bags to see their must-have products, because we’re nosey. This week, it’s the turn of Vicki Notaro, editor of Stellar Magazine.
Her earliest makeup memories
“I’ve been wearing mascara and eyeliner daily since I was about 13, I remember getting in trouble for wearing kohl to school in second year.”
My ‘look’ has always been about the eyes. I didn’t have great skin when I was younger so perhaps it was a distraction technique, but now if I go anywhere without my flicks on, people ask me if I’m okay. I’m proud of my eyeliner skills, practice has made me pretty good at them.”
Her makeup bag
“I got this in M&S about a month ago!”
What’s inside?
The essentials “I have so many essentials – I’m a make-up hoor! I will never be without NARS Sheer Glow foundation and Soft Matte concealer, my skin just loves them.
“I’ve also recently been using Benefit’s Boi-ing Brightening concealer on top of the foundation and underneath the concealer. I find the combination works wonders on tired eyes and my new little crows feet.”
“Charlotte Tilbury ‘Pillow Talk’ liner and MAC Blot Powder are always in my bag, the former to keep my lips looking defined throughout the day (I use it all over the lip) and the latter to combat shine.”
Newbies “I’m obsessed with the new Chanel Stylo eyeliner, it’s a thick, dark liquid liner with a fine nib in a fountain-pen like case, it draws my flicks on personally.
“I love Lancome Monsieur Big mascara, a new addition to my bag, and adore MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘Gold Deposit’ – it’s sort of like a shimmery highlighter slash bronzer, I use it for a more glam contour.”
“One more newbie I love is the Rimmel Stay Matte lipsticks, I’ve been shelling out for the Kylie Jenner lip kits and these are just as good for a fraction of the price.”
