Man arrested trying to break INTO US prison
WHILE MOST prison inmates plan ways of breaking out of prison, US authorities claim they have arrested a former prisoner trying to break his way back in to prison.
Marvin Lane Ussery, 48, was seen scaling a 7-foot tall, barbed wire-topped fence behind the California state prison New Folsom in Sacramento on Wednesday night.
Ussery’s alleged movements were caught on a thermal-imaging camera, according to KCRA.com.
Sergeant Tony Quinn says Ussery served time at the facility for robbery before he was released on parole two years ago. He is now being detained on suspicion of violating parole – and of being a felon on prison property.
Officials are also investigating whether he was attempting to smuggle contraband, such as mobile phones or drugs, but say no such evidence has been found.
The Folsom Telegraph reports that Sgt Quinn said Ussery “basically said he was reminiscing”.
