Drunk Chinese man nearly shipped to Los Angeles
WE’VE ALL FALLEN asleep in some questionable places at some point in our lives.
Usually it’s just the train or the bus after a particularly heavy night. Annoying at the time, but manageable in terms of recovery.
Spare a moment to consider Jiang Wu from China, who recently mistook a huge shipping container for his B&B room in Qingdao and settled himself inside.
Imagine the moment of realisation the next morning.

Wu immediately began ringing everyone he knew once he realised that his container had been sealed.
Thankfully he woke up when he did, as he was merely an hour away from heading on a two-week journey to Los Angeles.
Once the police arrived to rescue him, he was still unable to identify his new digs so had no choice but to kick up a fuss and bang on the steel walls. Police eventually identified him in a container stacked 60 feet above ground.
