People are absolutely ripping it out of this 'mansplaining' university advert

Well, that meeting looks like a bundle of fun.

MANSPLAINING IS REAL.

If you’ve never had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of it, you may wonder what it looks like.

Well, allow us to show you.

See that? A lad holding court in a group of despondent-looking women, who likely already know the ins and outs of what’s being explained to them at great length.

Despite initial reports suggesting that the photo on the hoarding is advertising the University of Adelaide in Australia, the photo is actually affiliated with Renewal SA, an urban development company.

In the wake of  backlash, a spokesperson for the University of Adelaide has explained that the university’s photo was cropped out of the image which has been doing the rounds on Twitter.

The hoarding in which that image appears belongs to Renewal SA, not the university. Our logo is part of a separate image, which has been cropped out. The photo in question on the Renewal SA hoarding is not a university image. It was not supplied by us. It was not approved by us. The people depicted in that photo are not university people.

University people aside, the image has been the talk of Twitter over the course of the last 24 hours.

Here are just some of our favourite reactions to it.
