IT’S BEEN A bittersweet week for Mark Hamill, by all accounts.
If a recent Twitter post is anything to go by, the Star Wars actor is no doubt basking in his recent appointment to International Guest of Honour at this year’s St Patrick’s Day Festival in Dublin.
However, the 66-year-old actor is also grappling with a ghost from his past.
A ghost in a gold jumpsuit with a questionable German accent, to be more precise.

Taking to Twitter, Mark decided to recall a time in his life when he thought certain career moves would stay between friends.
Or, at the very least, stay within one country.
Mark acknowledged his lack of foresight in this regard, and, like an absolute champ, chose to get behind his decision to rock a gold jumpsuit on German television by sharing footage of it.
He also gave his fans and followers an insight into his thought process in the lead-up to that particular career move.
I remember not wanting to wear a gold jumpsuit like a rejected member of ABBA or if I could memorize dialogue in a foreign language-but thought “Who cares? No one outside of Germany will ever see this!” Thanks to the internet-NOTHING EVER GOES AWAY. Who knew?
Don’t blame yourself Mark; no one could have seen this coming in 1980.
