Mark Hamill tweeted about Ireland's '26 counties', and now his mentions are in shite

He meant well of course.

Yes, it seems that Luke Skywalker has walked his way into a debate about how many counties Ireland has. Even after he was our St Patrick’s Day guest of honour!

Mark, being the nice guy he is, tweeted this for the day and date that’s in it

Technically, he is correct. But that didn’t stop reply after reply coming in to tell him otherwise.

Mark is of course a big fan of Ireland, having spend a great deal of time here filming the recent Star Wars movies.

He recently showed his support for the repeal campaign, and is obviously sending us a nice message of encouragement today.

HOWEVER.

A note to Mark and all other well-meaning celebs:

Don’t go there. It’s a sore spot.
