Oh, the banter was sure had by the people at Aldi and Lidl HQ.
Then one online retailer stepped in and suggested that Marks and Spencer, or one of their posh supermarket rivals Waitrose would be totally incapable of engaging in these kinds of ‘bants’.

Marks and Spencer couldn’t allow that accusation to stand.
They slipped in with a more current meme format than gives and scoffed at the suggestion of being incapable of having a laugh online.
