Birds Eye is launching a new range of hashtag-shaped potatoes
STOP THE WORLD, we want to get off.
Hashtags for dinner are a thing now.
Birds Eye’s determined to stay ‘down with the kids’ you see, so they’re rolling out a brand new batch of potato shapes called Mashtags.
That’s Mas#tags to the social media generation, apparently.
The Independent reports that the new variety will include emoticon shapes, like smiley faces, making it ten times easier for the kids to rate your dinner without actually needing to speak.
The new shapes will be available in UK supermarkets from March, retailing at around £1.75.
“The addition of Mashtags to our food range is an exciting development for Birds Eye. Social media is all about conversation and we’re confident Mashtags will resonate across various groups of people,” said Pete Johnson, senior brand manager at Birds Eye.
Now tell us what we really want to know: Are they waffley versatile?
