A couple from Nebraska says the secret to wedded bliss is complimentary clothing.

A COUPLE MARRIED for over 64 years says the secret to their marriage bliss is wearing matching outfits.

Mel and Joey Schwanke told Today.com that their 146 custom-made matching outfits is the secret to their longevity saying that daily cooperation is needed when choosing what to wear each day.

“We’ve had to work together on things like that. And in the morning we say, ‘Well, what do you feel like wearing?’” said Mel.

Mel, who is 86-years-old, told KETV “We don’t go somewhere without having matching outfits”.

The happy couple said they have been matching their outfits for so long that they are not sure when it all started, but according to Mel his wife, 81-year-old Joey, gets the honour of choosing the outfits each morning.

Mel told Today.com “when you live with the most beautiful woman in the whole world, you’ve got to keep looking good”.
