An important ranking of Dublin city's McDonald's
8. Mary Street
Twitter Twitter
Sure, it has the benefits of being near the Jervis St Shopping centre, but does it live up to its O’Connell Street brethern? Probably not. Go here only at times of a McD’s emergency.
7. Phibsborough
Twitter Twitter
A solid offering, no doubt. But the fact that its on the extreme periphery of town means that it’s hardly the most accessible of McDonald’s. Don’t be going out of your way for this one.
6. Ilac centre
Instagram Instagram
Tucked away from the O’Connell Street rush, the Ilac Centre’s McDonald’s benefits from a more relaxed pace. The numerous fast food outlets around it also mean you have no competition for a seat.
All you need.
5. Rathmine’s
Twitter Twitter
Located within the Swan Centre, this is as solid and reliable as a McD’s gets. Again, it suffers from being so far from the centre of town, but besides that, a good choice. Its decor is also on the respectable side of things too.
4. O’Connell Street Upper
Twitter Twitter
The lesser of the O’Connell Street McD’s offerings – just about. It’s a little further away from the action, and its interiors don’t match that of its sister restaurant. Speaking of which…
3. O’Connell Street Lower
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Closer to the Liffey, this McDonald’s has a criminally under rated upstairs area with spacious, fancy seats. They also have “cool” and funky interiors.
2. Temple Bar
Twitter Twitter
A modern McD’s for the modern tourist.
What you have to put up with in terms of crowd, the decor and window seat view more than makes up for it. Perhaps the best decked-out of all the McD’s in town – and for that it deserves some serious kudos.
1. Grafton Street
Twitter Twitter
The newly refurbished – and dare it be said, fancy – McDonald’s on Grafton Street might lose points for the constant crowd, but it more than makes up for with its convenience. It’s right bang in the centre of town and it’s open 24 hours to boot.
Winner.
