TINA FEY, AKA ‘she who can do no wrong’, has revealed that there might be a Mean Girls musical in the works.
She told E! News on the red carpet of the SAG Awards yesterday that she’s developing the idea with her husband – who’s a musician and works on 30 Rock – and that Paramount are likely to be onboard with the project.
Admittedly we may never be able to return to the golden age of Lindsay Lohan, but a Mean Girls musical is certainly an exciting project, and we’d like to be asked to be creative consultants on it.
Here are some of our suggested song titles and themes…
You Go Glen Coco
Glen Coco is the unknown faceless enigma who spawned one of the greatest lines from the film.
We want a big number exploring the man behind Glen Coco.

It’s not going to happen! This, in song form, could be epic.

Full of secrets
One of the things we learned from Mean Girls is that Gretchen Weiners’ hair is so big because it’s full of secrets.
We’re thinking a giant dancing wig, surround by loads of smaller dancing wigs, in a atmospheric number about all the secrets contained within.
The character who “doesn’t even go here” and “just has a lot of feelings” needs to be explored further.
We want her story in Mean Girls: The Musical.

Who is Shane Oman?
Shane Oman is the one Regina George was hooking up with in the projection room above the auditorium.
He starts off as Regina’s bit on the side, but sticks with her through to the end.
A romantic look at the sensitive side of Shane Oman is a must.

I’m a cool Mom
Tina Fey has said she might like to see Mariah Carey play the role of Regina George’s mother (the role forever immortalised by Amy Poehler). We would pay cash money to see The Carey perform “I’m a Cool Mom”.
