IN A MOVE straight out of a Saturday Night Live skit, the First Lady of the United States travelled to an immigrant children detention centre yesterday wearing a jacket with the phrase ‘I Really Don’t Care, Do U?’ emblazoned across its back.

Given the current level of outrage being directed at the Trump Administration over the separation of children and their parents at US borders, the public were somewhat incredulous when Melania wheeled out this highstreet number.

Naturally, Twitter went about dissecting the decision to provoke the public by choosing a garment sporting a slogan guaranteed to raise even the most rational person’s hackles.

While some are arguing that the move was merely thoughtless, others are insisting that the FLOTUS is pulling a classic gaslighting move by trying to distract attention from the matter at hand.
