Meryl Streep's passionate speech in support of Hillary Clinton stole the show last night

She spoke about Hillary’s ‘grit’ and ‘grace’.

HILLARY CLINTON WAS finally announced as the Democratic candidate for the presidential election last night during the convention in Philadelphia.

Many celebrities, including Eva Longoria and Elizabeth Banks appeared to show their support with short speeches, but it was Meryl Streep who stole the show.

We could have guessed.

In her five minute speech, she spoke about Hillary’s achievement passionately, and cemented her belief that Hillary WILL beat Trump to become the first female president of the United States.

What does it take to be the first female anything? It takes grit and it takes grace.

Where does she get her grit and her grace? Where do any of our female firsts, our path-breakers, where do they find that strength?

Nearly 100 years after women got the vote, you people have made history.
