Michael Jackson's mother Katherine reported missing

The Jackson family’s ongoing dispute over finances seems to have taken a nasty turn.

MICHAEL JACKSON’S MOTHER, Katherine Jackson, has been reported missing in Los Angeles, according to CNN.

A missing person’s report has been filed as her grandchildren have been unable to get in touch with the 82-year-old for the past week. The deceased singer’s three children have lived with their grandmother since their father’s death so her lack of contact has sparked concerns.

Family laywer Sandra Ribera said that she is worried for the woman’s safety. It is understood that Katherine travelled to New Mexico with her oldest daughter Rebbie on 15 July.

According to CNN, Jackson is in the middle of a legal dispute between her children about her finances. The family arguments have come about because of Michael’s will which named Katherine as the guardian of his three children and placed his assets in a family trust. After the missing person’s report was filed, Jermaine Jackson tweeted that his mother was resting up in Arizona.

“This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor’s advice. Period,” he added.

Earlier this week, a letter from Michael’s siblings was made public. In it, the five children accused the executors of Michael Jackson’s will of mistreating their mother.

This morning, Michael’s 14-year-old daughter Paris tweeted about the latest chapter in the messy affair:

Michael’s children have tried to call their grandmother on several occasions, according to reports, but have been refused access to her.
