MICHELLE WILLIAMS HAS been very open about suffering from depression in the past. The former Destiny’s Child singer revealed back in 2017 while on panel show the Talk that she suffered from depression since she was a teenager and at times felt suicidal.
I’ve been suffering since the age of between 13 and 15. At that age, I didn’t know what to call it.”
TMZ reported yesterday that Williams had checked herself into a mental health facility in LA to seek treatment for her depression and now Michelle herself has opened up both on her Instagram and Twitter about seeking treatment.

Her fans responded with tonnes of messages of support.
You literally just gave me the COURAGE to go away & get help for my depression & alcoholism! The facility saved a bed for me but I didn’t want to go through the ER first. So I called and cancelled an hour ago. I’m gonna call them back, I need help desperately😢

You’ve gone through a very specific struggle most people will not ever know. Try not to compare your pain to the pain of others that you deem more “real;” what you’ve been through & continue to fight is real & yours, and it’s a miracle you have the presence of mind to seek help.

While over on her Instagram, both Solange and Tina Knowles Lawson (Beyoncé’s sister and mam) both sent Michelle messages of support too.
Tina wrote;
Michelle My Belle, I’m soo proud of you! You have given unselfishly of your time and support to so many and I know that you will be the best example of self-care which we all need. Keep being a warrior and an advocate. I love and support you with all my being.”
