Trump's Press Secretary got roasted by comedian Michelle Wolf and people are saying it's unfeminist
THERE HAS BEEN an outpouring of outrage at Michelle Wolf, the comedian who hosted Sunday Night’s White House Correspondents’ dinner.

Wolf has been variously accused of being crude, vulgar, and all sorts of inappropriate. The White House Correspondent’s Association even released a statement to say
One of the charges against her monologue, was that she was was ‘unfeminist’ towards Trump’s press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Wolf began by comparing Sarah to Aunt Lydia in the Handmaid’s Tale. It was an apt comparison.
In the ultra-patriarchal world of The Handmaid’s Tale, ‘Aunts’ are a branch of women used to brainwash the ‘handmaids’ to accept that their roles as second-class citizens whose only function is to be a birthing machine. Essentially, she brainwashes them with lies for the good of the government and supposedly ‘the nation’…Hmm sounds eerily familiar to what Sarah Huckabee Sanders does.
As Press Secretary for Trump’s administration, Huckabee Sanders has been the televised face that broadcasts the lies that Donald Trump wants sprouted to the world. She has upheld Trump’s view that the media are ‘an enemy of the American people’. She continues to try to distort reality by not just ignoring facts, but actively fighting against them to create a new narrative.
In other words, the press secretary for the United States of America lies.

Wolf addressed this and said:
That’s witty, Wolfie.
But afterwards, Wolf got dragged by the media for being ‘unfeminist’ for bringing up Huckabee’s appearance.
Now I completely and utterly disagree with this New York Times Journalist.
Firstly, I agree that looks should not be brought up as jokes, for men or women. But Wolf, brought up her make-up and not her appearance. Make-up, like glasses or clothes, is something someone wears. It’s not a part of who you are.
Secondly, it was not ‘intense criticism of her appearance’. Wolf said Huckabee Sanders had ‘perfect smoky eye’. If you’re a woman, you cannot get a higher compliment than that.
Thirdly, this journalist isn’t credible unless she’s bringing up every time that Trump has mentioned the appearance of a woman.
Finally, her job performance has been to lie. And lie she does. All. The. Time. That is not what the Press Secretary should be doing and she should be called out on her lies.

Donald Trump tweeted his unhappiness about the show, because of course he did.
He didn’t go, which is very unusual for a President, and was probably p***ed about the reference Wolf made to his non-appearance:
Cause, remember everyone, the President of the United States says he ‘grabs women by the pussies’. Remember, he’s the one who is unfeminist.
But it’s this comedian who is crude, vulgar, and all sorts of inappropriate? Uh-huh, sure honey, keep walking.
If you haven’t seen the full 20 minutes, it’s worth the watch:
Watch out for the this guy who is The best part is at 16:20 when a guy tells his wife to stop laughing.
