This music producer told a very amusing story about meeting Bono and not having a breeze who he was
LAST WEEK, KENDRICK Lamar unleashed his latest album DAMN. on the world.
Among the most talked about songs on the album is a collaboration with U2, which managed to surpass everyone’s expectations and not be completely embarrassing. (In fact, it’s really good!)
The song was produced in part by superstar producer Mike Will Made It, best known for his work on songs like Formation, We Can’t Stop and Humble.
Yesterday Buzzfeed did a little interview with the producer to try answer the question that has been plaguing music fans – how did this Kendrick Lamar and U2 song come about?
Mike Will Made It couldn’t exactly shed light on the circumstances of Kendrick Lamar and U2′s meeting, but said it was likely that Apple Music’s Jimmy Iovine played a role.
The producer then proceeded to tell a very amusing story about the first time he met Bono.
1. Imagine meeting Bono and getting to be like, “Sorry, who are you?” What a glorious feeling.
2. “Maaan, no disrespect, but no.”
3. “OK, dope.”
4. Definitely pulling this on the off chance we ever meet Bono.
