BRACE YOURSELVES – Miley Cyrus is the latest celebrity to slam Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video.
Cyrus has often been criticised for her own racy music videos, relaxed attitude to drug use and frequent nudity, but she doesn’t think she sets a ‘bad example’, per se.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, Cyrus asked why her nudity is seen as more harmful than Swift’s ‘violent’ Bad Blood video, in which the singer enlists a gang of celebrity mates to get revenge on a former friend (rumoured to be Katy Perry):
I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my t**ties out? I’m not sure how t**ties are worse than guns.
Cyrus has long been a proponent of the Free The Nipple movement, and recently set up the Happy Hippie Foundation to support LGBT youth.
But it’s not just Swift she’s gunning for – Cyrus seems pretty fed up with the seeming double standards in the music business across the board:
There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie wh*re.
Might we be on Team Miley? We might…
