Everything you need to know about vegan makeup brand Milk that’s now available in Ireland

The influencer-approved makeup brand.

IN THE LAST year, beauty lovers on this side of the Atlantic have been fortunate enough to get their hands on some of the best beauty and makeup brands on the market.

Yes, no longer do we need to pester our mates that are heading stateside to pick us up a few bits in Sephora because now, we can get most of those bits in Irish stores if not delivered here to Ireland.

The latest brand that’s sure to start invading Irish gals’ makeup bags is Milk Makeup.

The brand has received huge love from the online beauty community thanks to it’s vegan products and now has over a million followers on Instagram with a growing YouTube following too.

Milk boasts a “clean” approach to beauty, refusing to introduce ingredients like parabens, sulphates and mineral oils into their products, opting for natural ingredients like watermelon extract and mango butter.

They are 100% vegan which means common ingredients like honey, beeswax and gelatin are never used in their products either.

After three years on the market, the brand are finally branching out and from January 28 will be available to Irish customers.

While you may not be able to head into store and play around with testers, you can get your hands on them through Cult Beauty.

But what products should you be looking out for? Well, there are a number of hero products the brand has become famous for, so naturally, we’re dying to try those first.

Blur Stick

Definitely one of the most talked-about products in the range, the Blur Stick is a silicone- and oil-free primer that claims to minimise the appearance of pores by up to 68%.

While the product might look like it has some tint in it, it applies clear so is perfect for any skin colour.

Watermelon Brightening Serum

This solid serum is talc-free and claims to help brighten the skin by reducing the appearance of dark spots.

It’s packed with vitamins A,C, and E, which help keep skin hydrated throughout the day.

Blur Liquid Matte Foundation

The oil- and silicone-free foundation is the first full coverage base in the Milk range. Although full coverage, they say it feels lightweight on the skin, similar to the feeling of a serum.

The foundation aims to blur pores and fine lines, leaving you with a smooth, matte finish.

With just one to two drops needed for your entire face, a little clearly goes a long way.

Lip + Cheek

We love a multipurpose product and this blush is great as it doubles as a lip tint. Not only are you getting a shot of colour from the stick but also the skin benefits of mango butter, peach nectar and avocado oil which help to hydrate the skin.

Kush High Volume Mascara

Infused with cannabis oil, Milk say this mascara fuses the heart-shaped fibres to lashes, creating thickness without the fallout.

To ensure the product remained 100% vegan, Milk swapped traditionally used beeswax with cannabis oil to give the product a creamy texture for smooth application.

Kush Fiber Brow Gel

Similarly to the mascara, Kush Brow Gel is made using cannabis oil and helps boost hollow fibres with formula for instant volume.

It claims to give instant hold without feeling stiff.
