Guy with Motor Neurone Disease does an emotional ice bucket challenge
ANTHONY CARBAJAL DRESSED in a pair of tiny pink shorts, writhed around in a car, and finally was doused in a bucket of ice cold water.
He was taking part in the massively popular ice bucket challenge, which has seen countless celebrities take one for the team to raise awareness of ALS/Motor Neurone Disease.
Then, in the second half of his emotional video he explained how he has been terrified of the disease his entire life… and how he was diagnosed with it five months ago.
It shows him looking after his mother, who was diagnosed when he was a teenager. It shows him describing what the disease is. It shows his frustration at the rate of research and it highlights how Motor Neurone Disease will take over his body.
Carbajal says that the ice bucket challenge is the “first successful advocacy that we have ever really had”.
