Mould may have killed Brittany Murphy and husband
US AUTHORITIES are investigating whether mould found at the home of actress Brittany Murphy and her husband was a contributing factor in their deaths.
Pneumonia was a factor in the deaths of both Murphy, 32, and her husband Simon Monjack, 39.
The actress was found unconscious by her mother Sharon Murphy, who shared the couple’s LA home, on 20 December, 2009. She died shortly afterwards. Her mother also found Monjack, who died on 23 May.
Mould had been considered by investigators when determining the cause of Murphy’s death, but was then ruled not a contributing factor.
Sharon Murphy has agreed to give access to authorities to investigate the mould.
