In pictures: Take an aerial tour of the Himalayas and Mount Everest

A virtual visit to Everest base camp and one of the most dangerous airports in the world…

WE RECENTLY brought you an aerial tour of the ancient Egyptian pyramids at Giza, courtesy of the AirPano.com photography team which travels the world taking high-definition panoramic shots of famous sites and locations.

During their trip to the Himalayas, the photographers captured incredible images of sharp snowy peaks, mountain villages and monasteries.

The below slideshow gives a taster of those images. To take their virtual tour, check out AirPano.com’s Mount Everest project here, where you can navigate the direction you wish to turn, zoom in and out, or click into the next in the series.
