Andy Ellison, over on his blog Inside Insides, is an MRI technologist at Boston University Medical School, with the Centre for Biomedical Imaging. He runs a research-only Philips 3 Tesla MRI scanner and manually scans in things to capture the beautiful GIFs you see below.
