Mumford and Sons got booted out of a strip club... it's The Dredge
EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt – from the top to the very bottom.
#HOLD ON HOPE: Tweed-wearing folkies Mumford and Sons got thrown out of a strip club in Atlanta. Probably scuffing their jackets nastily on the pavements outside.
Why? Because they kept taking photos. And the first rule of the strip club was ‘no photos’.
In fairness, they weren’t taking photos of naked ladies. Banjo player Winston Marshall was apparently up on stage at the Clermont Lounge singing a song for karaoke night, and the rest of the band wanted to record the magical moment.
When the DJ turned the music down to tell them to put their cameras away, Winston “loudly accused the DJ of ruining his song”. Things got nasty and they were all unceremoniously removed. Twang. (TMZ)
#LADY GAGA: Lady Gaga has backed the anti-twerking movement in the best way possible, telling an interviewer:
She also said that she used to be a stripper, and that Ralph Fiennes taught her everything about strip clubs (well, sort of) and that she has dabbled in lesbianism. Using this immortal phrase:

#SPICE GIRLS: The Spice Girls might be coming back. Again. Mel B says she’s planning it “in the next year or two”.
Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell is ruining Mel B’s plans by releasing her first solo single in eight years. In Australia (because she’s famous there now as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent). Her new song Half Of Me is, she says, “about love, hope and optimism, with a splash of humour”. (Guardian)
Here’s the Mel B interview on Ellen:
#AAARRGHHH: Gwyneth Paltrow has released a video of an ‘English Garden Party’ she held this summer.
There was croquet, and lots of famous people, and performances by Gwyneth and Chris Martin’s kids. It looks like a vision of hell.
And the rest of the day’s dirt…
