Is adding in your Myers-Briggs personality type the game-changer your Tinder needs?
IF YOU’RE FINDING that your Tinder fishing keeps bringing up the dregs of the ocean instead of delicious delicacies, then the latest bio trend might be an interesting experiment for ya to try.

People are starting to insert which of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types they are into their bios.
A third of you reading this might be scratching your head in bemusement, a third might already be changing your bios, and another third will have already exited out of this article claiming it’s utter bullshit.
If you don’t know it already, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is (to quote Wikipedia the source of all internet knowledge) :
Got that?

Basically it’s a personality test.
For some, the test is gospel…

For those on the opposite side of the psych fence, it’s a Buzzfeed quiz baked in a tarot card pie and sprinkled with horoscopes
Whilst others say it’s not a handbook for people, but an interesting and valuable framework for understanding themselves and others:
If you don’t know yours, take the test here to find out what you are.
It takes 12 minutes but it’s worth it if it helps you find your one true love right?
There’s 16 different personality types from the quiz, and based on what you get, there are some types that are apparently an ‘ideal’ match for you.
The test determines if you are
1) Extroverted (E) or Introverted (I)
Does being around people generally give you energy or drain you? (Not whether you are shy or appear confident)
2) Sensing (S) or Intuitive (N)
How do you see the world? Do you focus on your five senses or do you notice patterns and possibilties?
3) Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
How do you make decisions? Do you decide based upon objective principles and impersonal facts or do you lean towards your personal concerns and the people your decision affects?
4) Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)
The last part surrounds how you live your life. Do you live by order and structure or are you more flexible and adaptable?
The quiz will give you your type which has four letters. I’m ENFP for example, meaning I’m Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Perceiving.
Then the ideal romantic match is someone with the same second letter, or someone with the same middle two letters as you.
So apparently an ideal match for an ENFP would be an INTJ or an INFJ (hit me up if you’re either winky face).
But burn in hell if you’re an ENTP.

If you’re already spending an hour scrolling through Tinder every night, what’s the worst that can happen if you do the test?
Full Disclosure: don’t blame me if you get sucked into it, there is a rabbit hole of information online, on instagram, on pinterest.
But if you’re just not bothered to spend 12 minutes of your life doing a personality quiz, just put down which of the Mamma Mia men you fancy the pants off.
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
P.S. If you’re not bothered to do it, you’re probably a know-it-all ENTP.
