Nadine Coyle appeared on Lorraine and confused everyone with her American-Irish accent
IF THERE’S ONE thing Twitter cannot cope with, it’s celebrities refusing to pick a lane when it comes to their accent.
We mean, remember when Lindsay Lohan road-tested an American / continental Europe hybrid?
Exactly.
So, when Nadine Coyle, who has lived in LA for nine years, appeared on Lorraine during the week, it wasn’t long before Twitter honed in on supposed variations they spotted in her native Derry accent.
Indeed, the former Girls Aloud singer was accused of debuting a transatlantic accent while chatting to Christine Lampard on Wednesday.
Despite the lack of subtitles, we learned that Nadine was going to be releasing a song every two weeks – no, seriously – and there was more than a passing chance that she’d be appearing in the next season of Derry Girls.
But it seems like 32-year-old Nadine’s career trajectory was the last thing on people’s minds.
Whoops!

To be fair, we’re not hearing anything too odd here, but we’ll leave you to make up your own minds.
