New bands can win Windmill Lane recording session
STRUGGLING MUSICIANS WANTING to unleash their genius on the world might be interested in a chance to record at Windmill Lane studios in Dublin.
Community market place Adverts.ie decided to create the competition for a band to win two days of recording at the studio where U2 made their finest early work after noticing the number of musicians using their site to buy and sell musical equipment (there are more than 6,700 live ads in their music section right now).
The competition is open to all Irish residents (over the age of 15) and consists of two rounds of voting. You submit your band’s application on the Adverts.ie Facebook page, where you can also check the requirements for entry. Members of the public can then vote for their favourite band there.
The nine bands with the most votes will be picked on 23 October. A final round of voting will decide which one scores the recording prize at Windmill Lane.
