The great migration from film to television continues with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley starring in this miniseries next year, which follows a “group of a moms whose perfect lives begin to unravel”.

This new dark comedy from Netflix stars Drew Barrymore and Justified’s Timothy Olyphant as a husband-wife duo, whose lives are sent down a road of “death and destruction” after Barrymore undergoes a major life change.
A bingeworthy comedy starring Drew Barrymore sounds just like what the doctor ordered, if you ask us.

10. The Deuce
A 1970s set drama about the porn industry in New York. It comes from David Simon, the man behind The Wire, and stars James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Expect lots of interesting moustaches.

The long-awaited reboot of the cult television series is slated to debut in the first half of 2017. Be still our beating hearts.
12. American Crime Story
After last year’s brilliant dramatic retelling of the OJ Simpson trial, American Crime Story returns in 2017. This time, the focus will be Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. No word yet on when it’s due to air, but something tells us we’ll be hearing a lot about it.
