Newsreader tricked into reading out her own marriage proposal on air

Would you not be MORTIFIED?

ALEXA WILLIAMS, a newsreader for Texas TV station KWES, was working on the 4 July weekend – not the most ideal situation, kind of like how working St Patrick’s Day is for us.

Following the teleprompter during a newscast, she calmly said:

An Odessa woman is about to get the surprise of her life, and eventually a last name.

Little did she know that SHE was the Odessa woman, and her boyfriend was waiting in the wings to pop the question.

Williams later wrote on Facebook: “Working on the 4 July turned into the best day of my life.” Awww.

Just think of how terribly awkward it would have been had she said no. So terribly, awfully awkward.
