IN CASE YOU missed it Liam Payne and Cheryl announced that they were splitting up on Monday. The pair who have been together for two and a half years have one son together, Bear who both say is the focus now.
We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.

Cheryl’s ex bandmate and very good friend Nicola Roberts was on Loose Women today and said that while Cheryl is handling everything, Nicola found some of the articles written about the split misogynistic.
I actually think what’s been interesting this week is to see how the misogyny though the media has played out. There’s been a couple of articles like ‘Why can’t she hold a man down?’ and stuff like that and it’s just like why can’t a man hold her down?
We love the girl code between @NicolaRoberts & BFF @CherylOfficial... 'Why can't a man hold her down' 🙌🙌 👭❤️ pic.twitter.com/WuGuZ0MROv

And if you think Nicola is making up this headline, here is the headline from the Telegraph on Tuesday (and yes I know it was written by a woman, that doesn’t make it any less misogynistic).
Cheryl herself has already criticized some of the media for saying that her mother Joan was responsible for Liam and Cheryl’s break up.

It’s inevitable that when a celebrity couple breaks up that some aspects of the media will write some nasty headlines but it’d be nice if we could stop asking what’s wrong with women who end their relationships.
It’s none of our business anyway.
