No humps for Fergie at Oxegen as band labels own song "rubbish"
FANS OF THE Black Eyed Peas’ tune My Humps may be disappointed today as the hip-hop band have revealed they will never perform the song live again.
According to a report in The Irish Sun today, the band said it had got to the point where they didn’t want to play the song anymore after they realised it was irritating and “rubbish”.
That means Oxegen goers will not be singing along to frontwoman Fergie’s “humps” and “lovely lady lumps”.
However, the news may be welcomed by many festival goers. The tune, from the band’s fourth album Monkey Business, was named the most annoying song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2007. It even beat out Los Del Rio’s Macarena for the title.
According to NME, band member Will.I.Am claimed the beat of the song was still “rocking” but admitted it was no “lyrical miracles”.
Are you thinking its going to be a good night now or are you pea-ed off with the decision?
