THE SIXTH OF January may mark the sad demise of the Christmas decorations, the Feast of the Epiphany, and the end of the festive period… but it’s not all doom and gloom.

It’s also Nollaig na mBan, which traditionally celebrates the work done by the women of Ireland over the Christmas period by giving them the evening off.

And they’ve been celebrating some tiny post-Christmas miracles…
