Northern Ireland culture minister "needs to be careful" on Twitter

Northern Ireland minister says on Twitter that she should be more ministerial – on Twitter.

NORTHERN IRELAND’S CULTURE Minister has warned herself that she needs to be more “ministerial” when commenting on her Twitter site.

The realisation came to Carál Ní Chuilín – while she was still on Twitter.

After posting a derogatory comment about former Irish minister Michael McDowell, she said she “needed to be careful”.

Here is one of the offending ‘tweets’, which referred to the former justice minister as a “gobshite”:

Despite the ‘realisation’, she did not delete any posts and continued to ‘tweet’ from the account.

A member of Sinn Féin, Ní Chuilín also proclaimed on Twitter that she was “ragin’ ” she cannot vote in the upcoming Irish Presidential election.
