There is a 'Nose of Tralee' competition for lovely pets

Don’t they all have lovely noses?

YOU’VE GOT TO hand it to Pet Sitters Ireland. The name of their lovely pet competition is just inspired.

The pet-minders are running a Rose of Tralee for pets, aptly named the Nose of Tralee. You can enter your pet via their Facebook page and the highest voted one in each of the 32 counties will go forward to compete in the finals as their county representative. And they’ll get a nice sash they’ll probably eat.

Winners won’t be announced until August 19, so there’s plenty of time to get voting. The top prize is a photo shoot with a professional pet photographer.

It’s not just a nice nose they’re looking for though, they need a special skill too

Describe your pet’s special skill and upload a photo, preferably a shot that shows your pet in action. Have fun with your description and photo. Show us your pet’s personality, her flare, and her special talent. He or she could be 2014’s Nose of Tralee in your county!
