This Facebook page sharing fake nostalgic Irish books is so good

Along with other “historical artifacts” of note.

AH, THE GOOD old days.

All you need to remember them is a quality social media account of old photos to transport you back in time – and there are plenty of historical Facebook pages out there to do just that.

Now, Ireland has been blessed with another – but it’s a total, excellently-done piss take.

They introduce you to important historical publications like this ‘Silage Enthusiast’s 1996 calendar’

It’s called Remembering Ireland, and their modus operandi is:

Harking back to good old Ireland, by showcasing long-buried artifacts and mementos from her golden past.

Of course they’re all fake, but some of the books they have created are brilliant – like this 1964 piece of farmer erotica

From which they included an extract

From the esteemed author of “The Dropped Hand” no less.

Remember this 1996 classic?

The Facebook page was set up a couple of weeks ago (along with the corresponding Twitter) and they’ve already had some viral success.

Sheep Dip Siren! received over 300 retweets alone, and a rake of people thought it was actually real.

So much history on show:

“Angelus – Six O’Clock Rock, 1988. One of the more popular bands in the Catholic Heavy Metal scene”

And merch from back in the day too
