THIS MONTH IS National Novel Writing Month in the US. A time when thousands of people come together to, you know, write novels.

But writing novels doesn’t come easy. Trust us: our 800-page manuscript about an enslaved race of website employees and their desperate struggle for freedom has been rejected by every publisher in Ireland.
