Now it’s Molly Malone’s turn to be yarnbombed
RENEGADE KNITTERS COVERED one of Molly Malone’s wheels in wool last night. We’re pretty sure it’s not the same lot of enthusiastic crafters who covered the Galway Hooker statue in Galway earlier this month.
The fictional fishmonger has been a fixture on Dublin streets since 1988, when a statue of her designed by Jeanna Rynhart was erected outside the front of Trinity College Dublin. Here we take a look at the young woman and some of her erstwhile companions down through the years, in a range of guises, costumes and other get-ups.
