BARACK AND MICHELLE Obama have just been awarded the Freedom of Dublin in a controversial enough decision.
They’re probably none the wiser though – as they holiday on Richard Branson’s private island this week.

Richard Branson has written about Obama learning kitesurfing today on the Virgin website – and it explains why he looks so damn happy out on the water:
One of the first stories Barack told me when he and Michelle arrived on Moskito Island was how, just before he became President, he had been surfing on a dangerous break in Hawaii. When he came in from an exhilarating session, the new head of his security team turned to him and said: “This will be the last time you surf for eight years.”
Branson is his new best friend now
