This Offaly man's epic odyssey home from a night out made the best Snapchat story
LAST NIGHT OFFALY man Joe Troy was on a night out in the village of Shinrone.
Late on in proceedings, he realised he didn’t have a lift home to Rath – so he thought he’d walk it.
And his Snapchat story – shared by his friend James – documents the epic journey
“I can not get a lift home…”
For context Shinrone to Rath is a long old distance
Which Google says is a casual 4 hour 15 minute walk.
Temperatures weren’t too bad, despite the time
“We’ll need to pick the speed up a bit now…”
The story has been viewed over 30,000 times on Facebook already.
“It started out as a joke but will I ever get f**kin home”
Tunes were needed as the miles went on late into the night
Finally, after hours of toiling and with his resources depleted… his mam came to the rescue in Kilcolman
