You won't want to cry at this Olympics ad but you probably will anyway
IT’S OFFICIALLY an Olympic year, which means it’s time for Proctor & Gamble to roll out another ad to make you cry and feel you had a wasted childhood.
This year’s ‘Thank you, mom’ ad has a theme, ‘pick them back up’ and thanks mothers for teaching athletes that ‘falling only makes us stronger’.
The whole thing sound a bit pukey but God damn if you don’t find yourself tearing up as you watch the whole thing.
How do they do it? You start out feeling sorry for the kids but by the end you’re weeping into your sleeve wondering why your mother didn’t believe enough in you to get you up at 4am to go skiing on the mountain.
