YOU PROBABLY KNOW British comedian Omid Djalili from his work as a stand-up and from appearances on shows like Have I Got New For You, Would I Lie To You and, of course, The Omid Djilali Show.
Last night, the comedian paid a visit to Vicar Street as part of his Schmuck For A Night tour.
Over the course of the gig, Djalili posed a question to the audience: would you like Donald Trump to come on a state visit to Ireland?
They were adamant that, no, they would not like that, so he decided to frame the question in a slightly different way…
Djalili recounted the interaction on Twitter this morning and even took the liberty of translating it for international followers.

Hmm, a state visit might be worth it if Higgins went rogue and told Trump what he really thought of him.

Djalili later confirmed that it was his dream to meet President Michael D Higgins.
