What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

Inside Out (RTE 1, 6.35pm)

Pixar’s adorable movie about a young girl named Riley and her feelings living inside of her. Led by Joy, who is naturally upbeat, the 11-year-old has been pretty happy until her parents move her to a new city. Her sadder emotions begin to take hold, and Joy has to fight to keep her happy. Amy Poehler’s voice stars.

Ireland’s Got Talent (TV 3, 7.30pm)

It’s the grand final tonight. Who is gonna win a Christmas special on TV 3? We’ll have to wait and see.

Everest (Channel 4, 9pm)

Two expeditions set out to climb to the summit of Everest. The only problem is that they’re about to get stuck in one of the worst snowstorms every recorded, in already treacherous conditions. Based on a true story, and starring Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Keria Knightly and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Everyone’s talking about… Margot Robbie’s new project

If reports from Deadline are to be believed, Margot Robbie and her production company LuckyChap are teaming up with ABC Studios International and an Australian production company to create a female-focused series with ten parts.

It doesn’t have a name yet, but each episode is said to feature retellings of Shakespeare’s finest work from a modern, female-led perspective.

Sounds like a dream.

The General (RTE 2, 9.20pm) Fictionalised biopic of Dublin crimelord Martin Cahill.

Guardians of the Galaxy (BBC 1, 10.30pm) Marvel’s best soundtracked adventure.

Safe Haven (BBC 2, 11.40pm) A weepy Nicholas Spark romance about a woman trying to escape her past.

Picasso’s Last Stand (BBC 2, 9pm) Insightful documentary about the last decade of the artist’s life.
