Boys and girls from St. Audeon's National School, Dublin 8, celebrating World Book Day Mark Stedman / Photocall Ireland

Open thread: How will you celebrate World Book Day?

It’s World Book Day today, and people are being encouraged to rediscover the joy of reading. Will you be taking part – or have you already – and what is your chosen book? Chat about it here.

BOOKWORMS AROUND THE world are celebrating World Book Day today – and are you joining them?

As you get ready to finish your working day, or prepare for the evening ahead, will you find some time to read your favourite book, or a new one?

This is the 15th World Book Day, and lots of events have been taking place around Ireland to mark it. It could be a good day to switch off the TV and settle down with your favourite book, or hop into bed with a new novel. Maybe you have a little daughter or son who you’d like to introduce to the wonder of reading.

So we want to know – will you be celebrating the day (or have you already?) and what book will you choose?

Let us know in the comments below.
