EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt – from the top to the very bottom.
Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have officially announced that they’re splitting up after six years together. The pair issued a statement confirming the split after rumours began floating around that their three-year marriage was in trouble.
Speaking to E! News, a rep for Bloom said:
In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation.
We can also confirm that love no longer exists.
Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.
It’s little Flynn Bloom that we’re worried about.
Chris O’Dowd is off to make his Broadway debut. The Oirish actor will join James Franco in the production John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men, opening in April 2014.
O’Dowd is set to play Lennie, who has a developmental disability and works on a ranch alongside Franco’s field worker, George Milton.
Go-Dowd…
Simon Cowell sang the Power Rangers theme tune. He didn’t really get into it and it’s all pretty mortifying.
It’s all for a good cause, however. Simon was at the Friends of the Isreal Defence Forces fundraiser on Tuesday when with billionare Power Rangers creator Haim Saban offered him $1 million in donations if he sang the show’s theme.
Simon got so morto that he offered to pay £100,000 if he was allowed to END THE PAIN. Saban allowed it for £250,000.
Should’ve made him do the poses instead.
