ACTORS AND ACTRESSES love thanking the man upstairs when they win awards, so you might be surprised to learn that he’s not even in the top five of most thanked.

According to data analysis from Vocativ, director Steven Spielberg is the man most lauded during Oscar speeches.

Vocativ examined 1,396 Academy Award acceptance speeches and found that directors Spielberg, James Cameron, George Lucas and Peter Jackson all trumped God in the shout-outs department.

Legendary Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein came in second place, with a total of 34 thanks.
