Pajo: A guide for those who have never heard of him
PAJO APPEARED ON The Late Late Show last night as part of Bosco’s Christmas charity single.
Zig, Zag and Dustin were all there too. Staples of the Irish childhood.
Pajo was a trickier nostalgia tickler though, with many struggling to place him.

Pajo was a rat who was part of the Scratch Saturday team, a children’s weekend TV show that ran on RTÉ from the mid eighties to the early nineties.

Mary Kingston, Andy Ruane, Brian Leddin, Grabbit and Fetchit and perpetual teen Kevo were among the Scratch Saturday staples.
Pajo was a punk rocker and lived in ‘Pajo’s Junkbox’. Unfortunately no footage of the magical junkbox appears to exist online. There is this video of his own festive release Wash Our Socks for Christmas though.
