A donkey which was involved in a parasailing stunt last summer has died from a heart attack vets say was induced by the traumatic episode.
In July, police in the south of Russia launched an investigation after reports of a donkey being harnessed and suspended over over the Azov Sea for about half an hour. The incident was a stunt to promote a leisure resort.
The animal landed in the sea and was pulled to dry land, according to the following report by Russia Today which aired last summer:
ABC News reports that the female donkey, called Anapka, died last month. A vet who examined Anapka said that although she was about 40 years old, the trauma she experience was likely to have caused the heart attack which killed her.
