Paul McCartney performs surprise mid-afternoon gig in Times Square

NEW YORKERS AND tourists were treated to a little afternoon surprise yesterday when Paul McCartney appeared out of nowhere to play a few songs.

The former Beatle is promoting a new album and played four tracks from it just after 1pm yesterday.

According to Rolling Stone McCartney pulled up in a taxi and climbed onto the back of a truck…
