Paul O'Donovan added another iconic phrase to Irish sport on RTÉ yesterday
THE SPORTING SUCCESS of the weekend has undoubtedly been Skibbereen man Paul O’Donovan winning gold at the World Rowing Championships yesterday.
He’s well known for his “pull like a dog” phrase in an interview with RTÉ Sport straight after his semi-final at the Olympics – and yesterday he was at it again.
Speaking with RTÉ’s Saturday Sport on Radio One, he summed up his World Championship form before the final:
“I was rowing like a bit of a gobshite in the earlier rounds but I managed to sort it out”
