IN JUST UNDER a fortnight, a new documentary called ‘I Am Paul Walker’ will be released. The film looks at the life of the late actor Paul Walker, who died on the 30th of November, 2013.

Ahead of the film’s release, the Fast and Furious star’s mother opened up to People Magazine about her final conversation with the 40-year-old actor. Paul’s mother, Cheryl, said that she had been sitting in Paul’s kitchen with him and his daughter, Meadow.

They had been discussing their plans for Christmas, and Paul had promised his daughter that they would go shopping for a Christmas tree later that evening.

We were having this good conversation, and he’d forgotten about an event he had. He got a text and said “Oh my gosh, I’m supposed to be somewhere!”

Paul quickly got ready and left the house to attend a charity car show for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. A few hours after the charity event, Walker went for a drive with his friend Roger Rodas, which resulted in a collision that killed both men.

Paul’s mam said, “I think so many people think ‘Oh, he was just a movie star who was killed in a car accident’. But there was so much more to him. That was just a piece of who he was. He was an amazing man.”

Cheryl told People that every year on Paul’s birthday, his family and friends go to the actor’s favourite surfing spot on Huntington Beach and throw sunflowers into the ocean, while sharing memories about the late actor.

The new documentary about Paul’s life features interviews with his siblings and parents, who agree that Paul loved anything that could go fast since he was a child. The actor’s Fast and Furious co-stars also contribute to the documentary.
